Perfect DeClipper is called 'perfect' because I think I can mathematically prove that its algorithm approaches (one of) the best possible reconstruction(s) based on the data that is available. (Convince me if I'm wrong!).Ībout the name: A perfect reconstruction is not possible because some data is lost. There's currently no comparable VST license because I'm assuming that VST's are used for professional audio processing, not for home use.

For home use there is a Winamp plugin license that beeps once every 2 hours, enough to make it unusable for people who want to repair large amounts of audio, but not really annoying if you use it to listen to music. Of course, since they buy in bulk they want to pay considerably less than normal users - I cannot make it a lot cheaper without also selling it to them a lot cheaper. If you buy an SA Stereo Tool license you can use it in Perfect Declipper and vice versa.Ībout the price: I'm selling this thing not only to end users but also to companies that put it in hardware boxes that cost multiple thousands of dollars. SA Stereo Tool is an audio processor for FM, AM and webradio stations, with a free version for home use. Just wanted to let you know that if you're fast, you can still buy it at a lower price during the Stereo Tool End-of-the-World sale. Hi, I'm the author of SA Perfect Declipper.
